Well, this is a step in the right direction.
For those who can't be bothered making the fantastical journey into link land, I'll sum it up for you. The Melbourne City Council want to make a register available for gay couples, who want to make their relationship in some way official. I think it's definitely a step towards civil unions, which would be brilliant!

I think something like that already exist in France. I think it's called 'the Pacs" or something like that and one mayor did provoke a lot of 'noise' when he performed the first gay wedding in his town. But i think otherwise people here don't give a damn about gay people guetting married.
Personally i think it's okay, if that's what one want, it's good to know what you really want.
I'm still not agreeing with myself as the *idea* of marriage for me, or what i want... so...*lifts eyebrows*
